What do I need to do to prepare for my Laser Hair Removal appointment?

Shave the treatment area the morning of or the day before your treatment. Do not wax, use depilatory cream or pluck hair four weeks prior to treatment.

How long should I go between appointments?

Depending on your hair and skin type and the area being treated, we usually recommend a package of 6 treatments 4-6 weeks apart. Each part of the body has a different hair growth cycle, so the hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment.

What is the aftercare for Laser Hair Removal treatments?

For 24 -48 hours after the treatment, please avoid excessive sweating, hot showers, shaving, waxing, and plucking the treatment area. You will need to ensure all treatment areas are not exposed to direct sunlight for 14 days and apply SPF.

Does it hurt?
​
The treatment itself produces a slight stinging sensation, which can be uncomfortable the level on the machine will be adjusted to suit your pain tolerance to make it as comfortable as possible. Patients have reported that the sensation is similar to that of an elastic band being pinged against the skin

How long does the treatment take?

This depends on the area that is being treated, during your consultation we will carry out a patch test and let you know what the best course of treatment will be for you. We can then tell you how many treatments we think you may require and how long each treatment will take.
